“It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s a drone!!!” exclaimed a student, as Diego controlled his drone via a remote control as it buzzed over the heads of year 10 Computer Science class in the school patio.
He had earlier explained to us, visually, how drones work, describing types of cables and connections, batteries and lots of other technical details. But what we were all waiting for was the moment of flight, which he recorded by attaching a camera to the drone.
Finally, we returned to the classroom and watched the drone´s video in awe, amazed at the quality of video recorded from over a hundred metres above the school.
