The students at Elian’s Castellón are entered for external examinations in English at various points during their school life.
SATs or Standardised Assessment Tests take place in England at the end of year 6 in Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Science. We administer these tests internally to track the pupils’ progress.
In year 10 and 11 our students are entered for the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Education) examinations. These are external exams set by Cambridge International Examination Board and Edexcel Examination Board respectively.
AS and A Level
In year 12 and 13 the students are entered for ‘AS’ (advanced subsidiary) and ‘A’ level (Advanced level) examinations set by Cambridge and/orEdexcel Examination Boards. These examinations enable students to apply for universities in many parts of the world including the UK and Spain.
Our pupils are entered for external examinations at various points throughout their academic career. We are an authorised teaching and examination centre for Cambridge International Examinations and Edexcel International Examinations. Students wishing to apply to Spanish universities can sit optional Spanish exams (Faseespecífica de Selectividad) in order to gain extra points.
Cambridge English Proficiency Examinations
Elian’s British School is also a recognised test centre for the Cambridge proficiency examinations which includes Starters, Movers and Flyers for the younger students and KET, PET and 1st Certificate for the more advanced.
